New leak about Genshin Impact reveals some of the content that will be released with Update 2.1. This includes the new character Raiden Shogun, about whom there is now more information.
This has been leaked: As soon as the new major Update 2.0 arrives in Genshin Impact, the leakers are already busily publishing new information about the next patch. With Update 2.1, which will be released in September, the new character Raiden Shogun is coming. A leak now reveals her abilities.
The information from the leak comes from the test servers of Genshin Impact, where new content for upcoming updates is tested. You should therefore take it with caution, as it may change before release.
New Character: Raiden Shogun
This is Raiden Shogun: Raiden Shogun is the undisputed ruler of Inazuma, also known as Baal, the Electro Archon. She rules the land with an iron fist and has even ordered a hunt for vision bearers to obtain their visions.

This is what Raiden Shogun can do: With her normal attack, Raiden Shogun performs consecutive strikes, while the charged attack delivers a powerful upward blow.
Her elemental skill is called Baleful Light. It summons an eye above Baal’s head, which performs an Electro area attack against enemies. Group members near Baal receive the buff “Eye of Stormy Judgement.” When they attack enemies, the eye will perform a coordinated attack at the point where the attacked enemy stood. The duration of Baleful Light is 25 seconds, with a cooldown of only 10 seconds.
Raiden Shogun’s ultimate ability is called Musou Isshin and is influenced by the ults of other group members. When someone from the group uses their ultimate skill, Baal receives the buff called “Shogan Byakugen no Rin,” which can be stacked up to 60 times.
When Baal then uses her own ultimate ability, these stacks are consumed. The more Shogan Byakugen no Rin has been collected, the stronger the character’s first area attack becomes.
Musou Isshin also allows her to summon an Electro sword as a weapon. During this time, she only deals Electro damage with all attacks. With each attack that deals damage to an enemy, she regenerates energy for all group members. The effect can trigger up to 5 times during the skill duration. Raiden Shogun appears to have a kind of “battery” function for the rest of the group.

What else comes with Update 2.1? Leaker Sakuna on Twitter also claims that players will see La Signora again in Update 2.1. She is one of the Fatui agents from Snezhnaya, who already appears during adventures in Mondstadt. She will now return and become a weekly boss in the game.
In addition, players can expect two new bosses: You will be able to fight Hydro Hypostasis and Electro Oceanid as new world bosses.
It is also officially confirmed that two more characters will be playable alongside Raiden Shogun starting from 2.1:
- Kujou Sara is a 4-star Electro character who may use a bow in combat. She is a close confidant of Raiden Shogun and leads the hunters who take visions from other residents of Inazuma.
- Sangonomiya Kokomi, a Hydro character. She belongs to the resistance that has risen against Raiden Shogun and her vision hunters. Despite her fragile appearance, she is a strong fighter and a military genius.
