While many characters in Genshin Impact already have their own story quests, Qiqi has so far gone without a dedicated character quest. A leak suggests that this may possibly change in the future.
This is what the leak shows: Via Twitter, the account “Lumie” shared a short video. Lumie has previously gained attention with leaks, such as about the heroine Hu-Tao. The latest video shows images that Lumie describes as “a small preview of Qiqi’s dungeon.”
In the 46-second video, Qiqi can be seen moving through an old, yet sunny ruin. At the same time, it is noted that no release date is known yet and that the dungeon may significantly differ from what is shown.
In the comments, users already suspect that this could be the first hint of a story quest for Qiqi. According to a report from “DualShockers“, the video could indicate that such content is planned for the 1.5 update. Previously, rumors had mentioned a possible Qiqi banner for the 1.5 update (via TechTimes).
So far, Qiqi cannot be obtained in Genshin Impact through her own banner, but can be acquired with some luck from the Wanderlust banner or with a small chance from the other character banners. Qiqi is classified as a character from S-Tier and is hard to get, as she has very low drop rates.
Testing Phase for Update 1.5 Begins
When does the update arrive? The next update is Update 1.4, which is set to be released on March 17. Generally, major updates for Genshin Impact are released on a six-week schedule, making a release for Update 1.5 plausible by the end of April.
For a beta testing phase of the patch, players can sign up via the official Discord of Genshin Impact. However, players must sign an NDA to ensure that no content from the testing phase is shared publicly. Sharing videos or images from the test is therefore prohibited.
Whether Qiqi is part of the update should soon become clear for beta testers. All others will have to wait a little longer.
