In Genshin Impact, Patch 1.4 is coming soon. It brings a lot of new mini-games – and at the same time the opportunity to take four of the characters on a date.
The developers of miHoYo are continuing to work hard to bring new content to the RPG Genshin Impact. In a few days, the release of Patch 1.4 is coming, and it is sure to bring a lot of spring feelings into the world of Teyvat. There will not only be a nice festival in Mondstadt, but also the option to spend a little “special time” with your favorite characters.
What is the Windblume Festival? In addition to several quests, the Windblume Festival mainly consists of several mini-games that you can participate in to earn various rewards. As usual, there are materials for character upgrades that can otherwise only be obtained with great effort from small mini-dungeons. The trailer already offers a first glimpse of the mini-games. These include:
- Running a course while dodging obstacles.
- A flying test where you must demonstrate your gliding skills.
- Catching falling petals.
- Shooting balloons charged with various elements.
So there should be something entertaining for all players.
Are there any prerequisites? Yes. As usual, they are quite low, and most players should be able to participate without any problems. To celebrate the Windblume Festival, you must have reached adventure level 20 and completed the Archon quest “The Song of the Dragon and Freedom.” This is essentially the first act of the game and temporarily concludes the storyline about Mondstadt.
You can go on dates: A highlight for everyone who really enjoys the characters in Genshin Impact is the opportunity to take some of the characters on a date. These are special, small events where you spend a bit of private time with the respective character. At the beginning, this will only be possible with four characters. These are:
- Barbara
- Noelle
- Bennett
- Chongyun
Especially interesting: These dates have different paths and lead to various stations and resolutions, depending on the player’s decisions. Who knows if such a date will turn into a romantic highlight or just a chaotic day full of terrible coincidences?
If your favorites are not included – no worries. In the future, such events should also be possible with other characters. These are just the first four that made it into the game.
When does Patch 1.4 come out? The patch will be released next week, on March 17, 2021. As usual, events are expected to be gradually unlocked over the following days.
New Character and World Level Changes
Patch 1.4 brings even more than just this event. There are new characters and also quite cool settings that should help frustrated players.
This is Rosaria: As a new character comes Rosaria, a 4-star figure. She carries the title “Thorny Benevolence.” Rosaria is, like Barbara, a sister in the Church of Favonius and appeared in the last patch. She uses the Cryo element and wields a polearm. With her elemental skill, she can quickly switch between multiple enemies.
World level can be lowered: What is likely to be good news for many players: You can now lower the world level. So far, the world level automatically increases with your adventure rank or after completing a certain mission. You then had no way to reduce the level. This meant tougher enemies and better loot, but possibly also more frustration. Because for those who don’t have optimized equipment yet, dealing with an increased world level is difficult.
In Patch 1.4, you can therefore manually lower the world level – both in solo and in co-op mode.
