With the new patch 1.5, housing was introduced in Genshin Impact. We at MeinMMO reveal the requirements and how you can unlock your own house.
How do you unlock housing? With patch 1.5, housing was introduced in Genshin Impact. However, there are two requirements you must meet in order to use housing:
- Firstly, you need adventure level 35, which many of you will have reached by now
- Secondly, you must have completed the Archon quest of chapter 1 act 3. It is called “Rising Star”
If you have met these two requirements, you need to complete the quest “At Home in the Pot I”. You can get it in the harbor city of Liyue from Madame Ping. She is located at the Yujing Terraces. Once you have completed this quest, you will gain access to housing in Genshin Impact.
Complete “At Home in the Pot”
What needs to be done for the quest? Together with the new character Yanfei, you are searching for missing materials for your gift, the pot that grants you access to housing. For this, you need to visit various NPCs first.
During this, you need to find hairpins made of jade that were lent by Krosl. After a series of tasks, you return to Krosl, accuse him of lying, and receive the sought-after emerald jade. With this, you complete the quest “At Home in the Pot I” at Madame Ping.
The second quest: Following the first quest, you will receive the task “At Home in the Pot II”, which is significantly shorter. You only need to select the pot in your inventory, and this will lead you into the pot realm where housing takes place.
By the way, if you want to leave your new home, you can click on the pot again.
Placing decorations and earning trust
How does housing work? In Genshin Impact’s housing, there are 3 new currencies needed for various things:
- The adeptus power depends on how much content you place in housing. The more decorations are set up, the higher the value. The maximum adeptus power increases with a rising trust level.
- The trust level is associated with the NPC “Tuber”, who assists you with housing. Whenever you craft a new recipe, you gain trust with Tuber. This increases the amount of maximum decorations you can place, unlocks new recipes, and expands your housing area.
- The third currency, the Pot Tokens, you receive for new trust levels with Tuber. You need them to buy new blueprints or specific decorations directly.
How do you craft decorations? You can craft decorations in the interface with Tuber. For this, you mainly need many materials, including wood, fabrics, and colors. So you need to farm hard to design your house according to your wishes.
Can I take friends into housing? Yes, friends can join the housing. Moreover, they will be able to help with building in the future. This feature is expected to come in the future, likely with patch 1.6.
