The side quest Chi of Guyun in Genshin Impact is long and can be quite tricky. We explain how to solve it and get the rewards.
How do I start the quest? If you haven’t found the quest yet, you can start it near the village of Qingce. The village is located a bit southwest of Mondstadt.
There are two ways to activate the quest:
- You speak with the quest giver Yan’er near the ruins on the Bishui Plain
- The quest is automatically activated when you randomly interact with one of the quest objects scattered in the area around Qingce village and Wuwang Hill
What’s next in the ruins: Once the quest is started, the quest area will be displayed on your map. Your task is to investigate the ruin. If you haven’t defeated the Ruin Hunter yet, you will have to do that first.
- Then read the incomplete text in the middle of the marked quest area
- After that, you need to interact with 3 Geo Statues scattered in the ruins.
Alternatively, you can also orient yourself to large orange crystals that protrude from the ground around the statues. They are hard to miss.
Once you have found all the statues, a luxurious treasure chest will appear. From it, you will receive a fragment, thus completing the first part of the quest.
How to find the remaining fragments
After obtaining the first fragment, Paimon will send you to the Qingce village northwest of the ruins; this area will also be marked on your map. There, you need to talk to the villagers to find out more about the fragments.
They will send you to Grandma Ruoxin, who is located at the edge of the village. By the way, there is also a teleport there. If you already have it, you can shorten your way.
The second fragment
Your second fragment is located directly west of the Qingce village. On your map, the location is directly on the letter Q in the word “Qingce” and is marked with a marker.
There you will find 5 more Geo Statues guarding a treasure. To access the treasure, you need to interact with the statues in a specific order. The correct sequence is as follows:
- North statue
- Southeast statue
- Northwest statue
- Northeast statue
- Southwest statue
You are basically drawing a star on the ground. After that, collect your reward and the second fragment from the chest and proceed to the third part of the quest.
The third fragment
Use the teleport near Grandma to return to Qingce village. From there, head directly south to Wuwang Hill. This quest location is also marked on your map.
To reach further Geo Statues, you must climb all the way to the top of the mountain. Make sure to increase your stamina with Anemoculus, Geoculus or food to climb better.
Once at the top, you need to activate Geo Statues in a specific order again. This time there are 4.
- Position yourself so that you are looking at the single small orange crystal on the platform and activate the statue directly to its left as the first.
- Go counterclockwise from the first statue and ignore the statue directly to the left of it. Activate the statue that looks directly south. To the right of it, there are yellow flowers.
- Activate the statue directly to the left of the second. It is looking at a rock, and to its left are a large and two small orange crystals.
- Continue counterclockwise. Ignore the next statue. You want to activate the one that looks directly north. A tree is jutting out from the rock to the right of it.
After that, collect your rewards. Your search for fragments is completed. Use the teleport to return to Grandma Ruoxin.
The way to the treasure chamber
Grandma will tell you where you can find the entrance to the treasure chamber. It is located behind a waterfall and will be marked on your map. You can expect some tough fights there, so prepare accordingly. If you encounter problems with it, it’s best to do this quest in multiplayer mode with other players.
Upon reaching the chamber, insert the fragments into the gate, and it will open. Interact with the treasure to start the battles:
- At first, you will face some human enemies
- Then a Guardian will appear
- Once the Guardian is defeated, the real challenge begins. Three more Guardians will appear, which will now attack the treasure. You must prevent them from doing so, as the challenge is considered failed if the treasure health drops to 0%.
- Finally, a Ruin Hunter will appear
After defeating the Ruin Hunter, the challenge is complete.
With that, you have basically completed the Chi of Guyun quest. Grab the treasures and the Geoculus that is floating nearby and return to Grandma Ruoxin.
