With the update 2.4 of Genshin Impact, the new area Enkanomiya was added to the game. However, to unlock it, you must complete a quest first. In this guide, we will tell you what you need to do.
These are the requirements: For this quest, you don’t have to run to an NPC; it will be automatically unlocked and appear in your log if you have met the following conditions:
- You must have reached Adventure Rank 30
- Chapter II, Act 3 “Omnipresence Among the People” of the Archon Quests must be completed
- The world quest “The Moonlit Depths” on Watatsumi Island must be completed
The quest “The River of Silent Waters” is the follow-up quest of “The Moonlit Depths” and will lead you back to Watatsumi to the shrine maiden Tsuyuko.
How to complete the quest: You will find Tsuyuko at the Sangonomiya Shrine. After the first conversation, she will move southeast and stand by the altar. For the next step of the quest, you need to find two key patterns that are marked on your map.
You shouldn’t have any problems with the pattern in the north; it is easy to find. It is guarded by three ruin machines, which you don’t necessarily have to fight if you don’t want to. It is enough just to click the key pattern.
The eastern pattern is a bit tougher. It is located in an underwater cave, and the entrance to the cave is not exactly at the marking on the map.
You need to walk a little left of it along the large waterfall instead. Teleport to the Watatsumi teleport point, go north, and glide down at the marked spot. The entrance to the cave is halfway down.
Inside, you will encounter three Fatui enemies, but they are also not mandatory. You can click the pattern again and seek the wide open space.
This is what happens next: Once you have collected both patterns, you need to activate two altars. They are also marked on your map and easy to find.
In front of the altars, you will find symbols on the rocks with which you can interact. Click each one to activate the altars.
Then you can return to the Sangonomiya Shrine and talk to Tsuyuko again. She will perform a ritual and open the portal to Enkanomiya, which will appear right in the whirlpool next to you.
Jump in, and you will land in the new area that you can thoroughly explore. As a reward for completing the quest, you will receive:
- 30x Primogems
- 20,000 Mora
- 2x Guide to Knowledge
- Achievement “How Many Miles Under the Sea?”
