According to the official livestream from Genshin Impact, Patch 2.3 will be released on November 24. Many leaks have been confirmed, and new information has surfaced. MeinMMO summarizes what awaits you in the new patch.
Update from November 12: The official livestream has taken place and revealed some new information, which confirms the leaks. Here’s an overview of the new content:
- 3 redeemable codes for 300 Primogems and additional goodies:

- The new Geo fighters Arataki Itto and Gorou will receive a joint banner in the last 3 weeks of the update.
- New banner feature will be implemented: 2 simultaneous reruns with Albedo and Eula in the first 3 weeks of the patch.
- 2 new artifact sets.
- 1 new boss.
- 5 new events.
- Paimon can be placed in the housing system.
- 2 new hangout events with Gorou and Beidou.
- Itto’s story quest.
- A new item that allows you to catch wild animals.

Geo Fighter Arataki Itto – These are his abilities
Who is Arataki Itto? Itto is a strong, muscular, and vain fighter who belongs to the Oni race. His divine eye was confiscated in battle by Sara Kujou .
Even though he gives a frightening impression, he is kind to children and a peaceful person. He only seeks a fight with Sara every time. They are rivals. He also allegedly almost killed himself in a ramen-eating contest with Yae. This noodle soup contained fried tofu beans, to which Oni are allergic.
What can Arataki Itto do? Itto wields a claymore and is a 5-star character of the Geo element.
With his normal attacks, he performs four consecutive strikes. The 2nd and 4th strikes generate stacks of “Superlative Superstrength”. When you activate Itto’s elemental skill or sprint, his combo with basic attacks is not interrupted.
Itto’s heavy strikes trigger the stacks of “Superlative Superstrength” and empower him to perform “Arataki Kesagiri” slashers without consuming stamina. If you have consumed all stacks, he performs an even stronger slasher to finish.
If you do not have any stacks of “Superlative Superstrength”, the Geo fighter performs a so-called “Saichimonji” slasher, which is weaker than the “Arataki Kesagiri” slasher.
With his elemental ability, he summons a small bull onto the battlefield – Ushi, who deals Geo damage to enemies. When Ushi lands hits, is hit, or leaves the field, he gives Itto a stack of “Superlative Superstrength” each time.
The bull is considered a Geo object and serves to attract the enemies’ attacks. Ushi flees from the field once his hit points (HP) reach 0 or his duration ends.
When Itto uses his special ability “Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil!”, he transforms into the “Raging Oni King” form. In this form, he has the following abilities:
- Summons a club – “Oni King’s Kanabou”, which he uses to attack.
- Normal attacks, heavy hits, and plunge attacks now deal Geo damage. The effect cannot be overwritten.
- The 1st and 3rd combo of normal attacks grant Itto stacks of “Superlative Superstrength” upon hits.
- Physical and elemental resistance is lowered, but the attack speed of normal attacks is increased. Additionally, the attack is increased based on his defense.
Itto’s passive talents:
- “Arataki Ichiban”: If Itto continuously attacks with “Arataki Kesagiri” slashers, he receives the following effects:
- Each slasher increases the attack speed of the next.
- Drastically increases his resistance to interruptions.
- “Bloodline of the Crimson Oni”: Itto’s damage from “Arataki Kesagiri” slashers is increased based on his defense.
- “Woodchuck Chucked”: You have a chance to obtain extra wood while chopping.
Archer Gorou – These are the abilities of the Geo Support
Who is Gorou? Gorou is a loyal follower of Kokomi. His appearance is modeled after a dog breed called Shiba Inu, which in Genshin Impact is also mixed with wolf attributes.
What can Gorou do? He uses a bow as a weapon and possesses the Geo element. Additionally, Gorou is a 4-star support for Geo teams.
Gorou’s elemental ability “Inuzaka All-Round Defense” deals Geo area damage and creates a field called “General’s War-Banner”, which grants the following buffs:
- 1 Geo character in the team: Defense bonus.
- 2 Geo characters in the team add resistance against interruption.
- 3 Geo characters in the team add a Geo damage bonus.
- Only one banner can exist on the field.
His special ability “Juuga: Forward Unto Victory” allows Gorou to deal Geo area damage upon activation and creates a field called “General’s Glory”. It provides the active character with the same buffs as the elemental ability and moves with the character.
Moreover, it intermittently generates a “Crystal Collapse” that triggers Geo area damage on an enemy.
Gorou’s passive talents:
- “Heedless of the Wind and Weather”: When Gorou uses his special ability, all team members receive a defense boost.
- “A Favor Repaid”: Gorou receives a damage bonus based on his defense for his elemental and special ability.
- “Seeker of Shinies”: Features from Inazuma are displayed on the mini-map.
2 new artifact sets – Perfect for Geo and Kokomi
What are these artifact sets? The new sets are tailored for many Geo characters like Itto and Gorou. Additionally, there is an artifact set aimed at enhancing Kokomi. Both sets can be obtained in a new sphere on Seirai Island in Inazuma.
- Artifact Set “Ocean-Hued Clam”:
- 2-piece effect: +15% healing bonus
- 4-piece effect: When the character equipped with the artifact set heals someone, a “Sea-Dyed Foam” will appear every 3.5 seconds, collecting the healed HP. It then explodes and deals 90% damage based on the restored HP. “Sea-Dyed Foam” can collect a maximum of 30000 HP. The damage calculation is similar to elemental reactions but cannot be affected by elemental mastery, character level, or reaction damage bonuses. The effect can be triggered even if the character equipped with it is not on the field.
- Artifact Set “Husk of Opulent Dreams”:
- 2-piece effect: +30% defense
- 4-piece effect: The Geo damage of the active character grants you a stack of +6% defense and +6% Geo damage every 0.3 seconds, up to a maximum of 4 stacks. If the character equipped with the set is not on the field, they receive a stack every 3 seconds. If no new stacks are collected, the buff loses a stack every 6 seconds.
The “Golden Wolflord” as the new Geo boss
The “Golden Wolflord” is the leader of the new monsters “Garm” and “Garm Puppies” and can inflict your team with the status “Corrosion”. This status reduces the HP of all team members every second. Active characters can become incapacitated, while inactive characters cannot drop below 15% of their HP.
The boss also possesses the Geo element. When it reaches a certain amount of HP, it summons helpers that provide it with protective shields. Additionally, the Wolflord loses Geo resistance over the course of the fight and gains attack.
The 5 new events in Update 2.3
Of course, there are plenty of events in Patch 2.3 again. We have put together a brief overview of the events for you.
“Shadows Amidst Snowstorms”: Sends you back to Dragonspine and includes quests for Albedo. You have challenges such as:
- Complete a racetrack within a certain time while collecting coins,
- a training area where you must melt ice with a Pyro character,
- and a combat training against enemies.
The training area and combat training provide you with components to build snowmen and take them with you into the housing system.
The event also has a special reward for you: a sword called “Cinnabar Spindle” and its refinement material up to level 5.
“Bantan Sango Case Files: The Warrior Dog”: You must sneak past armed dogs to rescue animals and catch them with a special event item. After the event, you will receive not only Primogems and other goodies but also the event item.
You can use this to catch foxes or other wild animals in the overworld.
“Energy Amplifier Fruition”: In this event, you must go to certain locations and defeat the monsters there. Once you have cleared all areas of enemies, Act 2 opens up, sending you to a dungeon called “Deceitful Domain”.
There you can adjust the difficulty and decide which buffs and debuffs are activated. You can also tackle it in co-op.
“Misty Dungeon: Realm of Light”: You will be sent into your dungeon, where you can only use characters provided by the game. You cannot use your own.
You will be prompted to complete certain challenges in this dungeon.
“Marvelous Merchandise”: You need to find an NPC and bring him the material he requests from you. In exchange, you will receive certain boxes that contain various rewards for you.

Itto’s Constellations

- 1st Constellation, “Stay a While and Listen Up”: When Itto uses his special ability, he gains 2 stacks of “Superlative Superstrength”. For each second he invokes his special ability, he gains one stack.
- 2nd Constellation, “Gather ‘Round, It’s a Brawl!”: Itto regenerates 6 elemental energy for each Geo character in the team and reduces the cooldown of his special ability by 1.5 seconds when he uses his special ability. Up to 4 seconds can be reduced this way, and 18 elemental energy can be gained.
- 3rd Constellation, “Horns Lowered, Coming Through”: His elemental ability gets 3 levels added.
- 4th Constellation, “Jailhouse Bread and Butter”: When Itto’s special ability stops taking effect, defense and attack are increased for all team members by 20% for 10 seconds.
- 5th Constellation, “10 Years of Hanamizaka Fam”: His special ability gets 3 levels added.
- 6th Constellation, “Arataki Itto, Present!”: His heavy hits deal 70% increased critical damage. Additionally, his “Arataki Kesagiri” slashers have a 50% chance not to consume stacks of “Superlative Superstrength”.

Gorou’s Constellations

- 1st Constellation, “Rushing Hound: Swift as the Wind”: When characters other than Gorou himself deal Geo damage to enemies while in the field of the elemental or special ability, the cooldown of Gorou’s elemental ability is reduced by 2 seconds. This effect can be triggered every 10 seconds.
- 2nd Constellation, “Sitting Hound: Steady as a Clock”: If the active character in the field of Gorou’s special ability picks up an elemental shard from the crystallization effect, the duration of Gorou’s special ability is increased by one second. The ability can be increased by a maximum of 3 seconds.
- 3rd Constellation, “Mauling Hound: Fierce as Fire”: His elemental ability gets 3 levels added.
- 4th Constellation, “Lapping Hound: Warm as Water”: If you have 2 or more Geo characters in the team, Gorou’s special ability heals the active character within the field. Every 1.5 seconds, the character is healed based on 50% of Gorou’s defense.
- 5th Constellation, “Striking Hound: Thunderous Force”: His special ability gets 3 levels added.
- 6th Constellation, “Valiant Hound: Mountainous Fealty”: Depending on how many Geo characters you have in your team, the critical damage from Geo damage is increased for all team members. You gain a 10% increase for one character, 20% for two, and 40% for three.

Leaks for new weapons in Update 2.3
What new weapons will be released? Kate leaked two new weapons. One weapon is a claymore called “The Other Side”. The other weapon is said to belong to the series of “Moss Green Stone” (via Honey Impact) and “Primeval Jade Spear” (via Honey Impact) and is called “Primeval Jade Greatsword” (via Twitter).
Details about the 5-star signature weapon “Redhorn Stonethresher” of Itto are known (via reddit). Accordingly, it has the following stats at level 90 and refinement level 5:
- Base attack: 542
- Sub-stat: critical damage +88.2%
- Effect: Defense is increased by 56%. Normal attacks and heavy hits are strengthened based on 80% of defense.
Other leaks

- Base HP decreased from 13703 to 12858.
- Base attack increased from 191 to 227.
