In March, the latest update 1.4 for Genshin Impact was released. In this context, the main story of the RPG has been continued today, April 12. This is especially interesting for players who have dropped out for a while but still have an interest in the story, particularly since the chapter was teased back in August 2020.
What happened? On March 17, the new patch 1.4 was released in Genshin Impact. It brought a new character, new events, and a date function.
It was already known before the release that the story surrounding Dainsleif and the Archon Quest would be continued as part of the update. However, not immediately but rather in April, specifically on April 12 at 4:00 AM.
For several hours now, Act 4: “We Will Meet Again” has been live.
Why is this interesting? The Archon Quests represent something like the main story of our character. So anyone interested in the story surrounding Genshin Impact should definitely play the new chapter.
What is particularly interesting about the new chapter is that the story “We Will Meet Again” was already teased with a trailer back in August 2020. As the name suggests, you will meet a special person in the chapter, which is one of the highlights of the story.

New Story Takes You into Battle Against Terrible Monsters
What is the story about? The new chapter takes you back to the storyline surrounding the Abyss Order, a powerful legion of monsters from the abyss. They seek to combat humanity and the civilization of the surface and are considered the main antagonistic faction along with the Fatui.
The chapter begins with Ganyu and Lan telling you that the treasure keepers from Mondstadt and Liyue are meeting to investigate ruins. These are said to be connected to the Abyss Order.
Your path then leads you to these ruins and into battle with the Abyss Order.
How can one play the new story? To experience the new chapter, you must meet the following requirements:
- Reach Adventure Rank 36 or higher
- Complete the previous prologue quest “Bough Keeper: Dainsleif”
- Complete the story quest “The Meaning of Lupical”. You receive this from the character Razor.
To start the quest, you need to travel to the Adventurers’ Guild in Liyue and speak with Ganyu there.
What’s next in Genshin Impact? The update 1.5 is expected to be released at the end of April. The special feature is housing. But beyond that, there will also be some interesting new additions.
However, not much seems to be happening in the story. As it looks, there will only be one story quest about the character Zhongli. There is also talk of more hangout quests.
