It’s almost here: Patch 3.0 and the new region Sumeru are coming to Genshin Impact. To mark the occasion, the creators have announced 3 brand new characters, two of whom will possess the Dendro element for the first time.
Patch 2.8 is already knocking on the update door and will be available for all players starting July 13. 6 weeks later, the big 3.0 patch is expected to finally arrive. This brings the new, large area of Sumeru along with numerous tasks, characters, and story content.
Additionally, there will no longer be only Dendro slimes, but also plenty of new enemies of the 7th element. Furthermore, characters can now also host and apply the element. This adds 3 more reactions between the elements:
- “Bloom”: Dendro + Hydro
- “Catalyze”: Dendro + Electro
- “Burning”: Dendro + Pyro

Genshin Impact Reveals 3 New Heroes: Collei, Dori, and Tighnari
Who is Tighnari? He is usually found in the region of the Avidya Forest. Tighnari has a slightly cheeky and instructive character but is still helpful to those who get lost in the forest and have no malicious intent.
What rarity he possesses or what weapon Tighnari uses in battle is currently not officially known. Alongside Collei, he will be able to use the Dendro element for the first time. So, it’s exciting to see what skills the two will have.
Who is Collei? Collei was already known among players because she is a main character in the Genshin Impact manga. She is also often found in the Avidya Forest and is an aspiring ranger. She seems to have a dark past that she doesn’t like to talk about.
What rarity Collei possesses is not officially known yet.
Who is Dori? Unlike Collei and Tighnari, Dori is of the Electro element. Dori is a merchant from Sumeru who can procure anything her customers demand. She is said to be difficult to predict and unpredictable.
What rarity Dori possesses and what weapon she uses against her enemies is not known so far.
When will the 3 heroes arrive? We do not know yet when exactly and in which banner the 3 new heroes will appear in Genshin Impact. However, they should be available during Patch 3.0.
