“Dear diary, today I was chased by xXpussyslayer14Xx for 2 hours” is one of the funny lines this player writes in their diary for Red Dead Online. It is very much in the style of what Arthur Morgan does in Red Dead Redemption 2 – but much funnier.
What kind of diary is this? About 2 weeks ago, user ps4noob92 on Reddit shared a picture titled “If my online character had a diary …” and received a lot of support for it. In a book, the player records, with their own drawings and texts, what situations their online character has encountered.
Because Red Dead Online is a multiplayer game with a strong PvP component, interesting stories often emerge.
These diary entries he writes: In the first entry, the player writes: “So today I got shot in the face while gathering herbs … I lost my hat, but somehow survived. I then spent 2 hours hunting xXpussyslayer14Xx.”
Another entry is about fishing: “I love fishing. Nothing calms me down as much as the sounds of water and the feeling of being one with nature. It’s therapy.
Now just imagine how surprised I was when I found out that I was fished.”
The love for the horse – diary part 3: “My horse Tim is a good boy. He takes me where I want to go, day and night. He carries my furs around and comes when I whistle. I love him.
But sometimes I could swear that the boy wants to see me dead …
Diary part 4 – Brutal online world: “I lost my hat again.
And my head too”
What inspired him? In the single player of Red Dead Redemption 2, Arthur Morgan regularly pulls out his diary and enters interesting things that happened to him or that he saw. He also makes drawings, like in this cool Easter egg.
This served as inspiration for the player ps4noob92 for his online diary. He uses stories that he has personally experienced or read on Reddit.
A next entry is probably already in the works. Under the fourth part, a player writes that the artist should make a post about the Puma glitch. “Thanks for the idea. I’ll see what I can do,” replied this one.
