The gaming YouTuber Ludwig Ahgren has announced that he will sell himself to a ‘stupid and terrible mobile game.’ With the money he receives from the sponsorship, he wants to compensate the victims of a fraud. Some fans of the Twitch streamer Sliker lent him a lot of money, which he then gambled away on sports betting.
This is Ludwig’s announcement: In a YouTube video on his channel Mogul Mail, the popular gaming YouTuber Ludwig Ahgren says:
You will likely see a sponsor message for a stupid mobile game on my channel next month. That’s all I have to do: a little sell-out, which I hope is okay for you. And I can make dozens of people’s lives better, which for me is a valuable trade. I don’t mind being harnessed to the cart of a terrible mobile game – unless they’re listening right now… in which case: Your mobile game is great!
Ludwig wants to pay back people who were defrauded by the Twitch streamer
Who does he want to help exactly? On September 19th, it became known that the Twitch streamer Sliker has succumbed to gambling addiction and wrote to some of his subscribers asking for money.
It is said that over 55 people responded, sending him about $384,000, which Sliker lost through sports betting.
In the excitement surrounding the scandal, Twitch later decided to tighten the rules regarding gambling – but not for sports betting.
Sliker lost his partner status at Twitch – but strangely has not yet been banned.
Ludwig and the Twitch streamer xQc announced that they would pay back the people who had loaned Sliker money in good faith.
Ludwig speculates: xQc is doing this because he feels guilty, since he has made so much money with gambling. Or xQc might just be so rich that he doesn’t care.
Ahgren himself wants to help because it’s not a big deal for him to sell his good name if it means he can help so many people.
Ludwig explains the big scandal of the last 2 weeks. The segment discussing his donation starts at around 3:44:
Let’s see which game he will sell himself to. Malicious people might speculate that it could become Ninja’s favorite game:
