Ergonomics and keys
Ergonomics: Full-size keyboards provide the full range of keys (104) and are, therefore, larger than smaller TKL keyboards. This means that these keyboards also require more space on your desk and are not as ergonomic as the smaller models.
The keyboard stands slightly slanted on its feet; in the long run, I miss a wrist rest here when I type or play a lot and regularly. Without the raised feet, the keyboard is too flat for me.
The keys: The keys feel pleasant under the fingers. This is particularly due to the slightly rough surface of the keycaps, which feel quite high-quality and give me a certain grip on the keyboard. Additionally, the level of dirt accumulation is limited, even when I eat something at my desk.
Under the keys are red key switches. These are linear, which means that the keys can be pressed quickly and do not provide a clear “click” feeling like blue or brown switches. Additionally, the switches are very loud.
Compared to quieter rubber dome keyboards, every key press can be heard on the keyboard. Personally, that doesn’t bother me as I love the sound of a mechanical keyboard. People I game with at night tend to find the clicking noise somewhat negative.
In the typing test on 10FastFingers.com, I achieve 96 words per minute (WPM) with just under 500 key presses. With comparable mechanical keyboards and other switches, I am even a bit faster (Logitech G Pro about 101 WPM, Roccat Vulcan about 100 WPM).
Conclusion: Recommendable entry-level keyboard for under 50 euros with annoying flaw
Who is the keyboard suitable for? For around 50 euros, you get a good gaming keyboard with pleasant haptics and good build quality. Hot-swappable mechanical switches are rather rare in this price range and a nice feature if you really need it. Because good switches usually last 50 million keystrokes or longer anyway.
The keyboard is especially recommended for individuals looking for an affordable entry into the gaming world and who want to try out a mechanical keyboard.
In particular, the distinctly audible sound of the switches is likely to be off-putting, even though good closed headphones can dampen the noise well.

What alternatives are there?
- Roccat’s Magma is a good alternative that, however, relies on rubber dome mechanics. Unfortunately, the lighting is somewhat uneven; however, the keyboard is significantly quieter and provides a pleasant typing experience.
- The Roccat Vulcan 121 is currently available for just under 90 euros, significantly more expensive, but remains my favorite among gaming keyboards. A very good typing feel combined with great optics.
- For around 60 euros, you also get the Black Shark gaming keyboard. The mechanical keyboard is available with various switches and in full format.
