Scout Camp makes PietSmiet the most-watched German Twitch channel
What kind of event was this? The guys from PietSmiet spent an entire weekend at the Nature Experience Farm Vulkaneifel. However, one would not find hard survival action a la 7 vs. Wild here; instead, “glamping” was on the agenda, which is glamorous camping, including a bed and a separating toilet.
Was there a program? Yes, there was. However, PietSmiet did not know it in advance. Throughout the weekend, they had to tackle challenges such as making fire, building shelter, as well as carving and archery. Some of the guys were able to draw on their scouting experience.
Points were awarded for the challenges, which could be exchanged for rewards. The loser of a challenge had to undergo a punishment, such as wearing an oven mitt while eating.
Where can you watch the event? You can watch the entire event on PietSmiet’s Twitch channel. It will also be uploaded unedited in several parts on their website and their main YouTube channel. Additionally, selected highlights are expected to be published on the Best-of channel.

How did the Scout Camp go? With a peak of over 33,500 viewers, the event can be considered a success. On average, just over 18,400 people were watching. However, PietSmiet really scored in the “Hours watched” category.
Due to the length of the event, PietSmiet was able to record over 800,000 hours of watch time for the weekend. This is an increase of over 2000% for PietSmiet and earns them 1st place in this category for the last 3 days. [As of 15.08.2022] (via. Sullygnome)
