On Gamescom Friday, the Bisalina Speedrun Event starts at 12 PM. Donations are being collected for a total of four organizations.
Speedruns and charity events are now firmly linked in the gaming scene. Annual events like Awesome Games Done Quick raise thousands in donations by allowing us to watch extremely talented players complete games in record time.
However, these events are not only held in America, but also in Germany. For several years, Bisalina has been organizing speedrunning events for a good cause here as well. Among other things, at Gamescom 2024. We have gathered all the facts about the event for you.

- When? Friday, August 23, 2024, starting at 12 PM
- Where? Live at Gamescom in Hall 11.3 or comfortably at home on Twitch
- What? Plenty of speedruns!
Also participating are well-known figures like Leon from Bonjwa, media lawyer Christian Solmecke, and our dear colleague Andreas Sperling.

For whom or what will the donations be made?
Donations are made through the platform betterplace.org for a total of four non-profit organizations:
- Save the Children: Aid organization to help children in need, such as in war zones or after disasters.
- Preventing famine in Africa: Unicef project that addresses the acute famine in Africa, especially in Somalia, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and South Sudan.
- DKMS: Organization against blood cancer and for building a wide-ranging donor network.
- Gamescom forest: official gamescom project by Treemer GmbH to reforest damaged forest areas.
