The new “Opening Night Live” show at gamescom 2019 promises world premieres and new footage of games. We will show you what to expect.
In a few days, gamescom 2019 will start. Even before the trade visitor day and the fair days, a new show will kick off at the fair that you shouldn’t miss.
What kind of show is it? The Opening Night Live is a show where there will be announcements from publishers, world premieres with new footage, and guest appearances from stars in the gaming scene. Hideo Kojima is confirmed, who will give previews of Death Stranding.
In the stream, an overview will be shown of what will happen during the gamescom week.
“There will be updates and reveals for highly anticipated games set to release in the coming months, and new projects will be announced,” explains Geoff Keighley, producer and host of gamescom.

When does the Opening Night take place? On Monday, August 19, the show will start at 8:00 PM German time.
How can you watch? The Opening Night will be streamed live. You can also watch on-site at the fair, but you will need to get one of the limited tickets. Here is the link for ticket registration for Koelnmesse. More than 1500 visitors can watch live on-site.

What about Destiny 2? Bungie is on the list of publishers participating in the Opening Night. However, a detailed program is not yet available. A new trailer for the “New Light” Free-to-Play transition or for the Shadowkeep expansion, which was recently delayed, is conceivable.
Perhaps Bungie will also announce more information in connection with Google Stadia. Destiny 2 is one of the launch titles for the new platform.
