Now, a man has been apprehended at the airport for attempting to transport a weapon. He had chosen a particularly clever hiding place.
A knife is cleverly hidden inside a gaming laptop
What exactly happened? A man wanted to travel by plane. However, during the security check at the airport, security personnel discovered a knife in his carry-on luggage using an X-ray machine. However, no knife was found when searching the bag.
During a second search, security checked every single item and found it. The knife appeared inside the traveler’s gaming laptop (via tsa.gov):
After obtaining tools to disassemble the laptop, it was discovered that a double-edged knife was artfully concealed inside the computer.
In the pictures from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the knife appears to be attached to the bottom of the casing. The TSA explained in their statement that the owner initially claimed he knew nothing about a knife in his laptop, but confirmed it was his blade after the laptop was opened.
No further information about the traveler and why he hid the knife in his gaming laptop is known.

The knife likely falls under the category of ‘extraordinary, artful concealment.’ Here, a possible fine is between 5,320 and 10,700 Euros.
