In the “State of Play” at the beginning of August, Sony announced the new game Hood: Outlaws and Legends for the PS5. In this game, you engage in action-packed PvP battles in a world reminiscent of Robin Hood.
Update August 7: The publisher has since announced that the multiplayer game will also be released for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The title can already be added to your wishlist on Steam.
According to its own statement, Hood: Outlaws and Legends is a PvPvE multiplayer title that will receive new maps, characters, and game modes after its release.
What kind of game is this? Hood: Outlaws and Legends was first introduced on August 6 in a trailer. This trailer showcases action-packed battles in a world inspired by a dark Britain during the time of Robin Hood.
You take on the role of an outlaw and fight each other in close combat, with a bow or a crossbow. The trailer shows many kills made from ambushes, which will play a significant role.
According to the website IGN, two groups of 4 players each fight against each other. The goal is to reclaim stolen property and land from the state, both stealthily and undetected as well as in open fights against the opposing team.
What else is known about the game? So far, not much has been revealed about Hood: Outlaws and Legends. The game is set to be released in 2021 for PlayStation 5, and in addition to players, there will be AI guards who will also participate in the fights.
According to an initial press release, each character is said to have unique and mystical abilities. However, it is still unknown what characters will specifically be available.
Visually, the title is reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed, although the gameplay graphics did not look as strong as the trailer initially suggested.
However, Hood: Outlaws and Legends was one of the few multiplayer titles shown during the State of Play, drawing significant attention. Another game was Genshin Impact, which we have introduced here.
