The MMORPG Bless Unleashed was supposed to be released for PC on Steam at the beginning of 2021. However, the release has been delayed, and a new beta has been announced for May.
What is going on? The MMORPG Bless Unleashed was released in March 2020 for Xbox One and a few months later for PS4. A PC version was also announced, which was supposed to launch “early 2021” on Steam.
Many expected a release within the first quarter, but that has now been ruled out. The developers have announced a new closed beta for May 2021. In this, there will be a final test before Bless Unleashed officially launches.
However, there is still no final release date.
Developers want to improve player experience on PC
Why is the release delayed? In a brief post on Steam, the developers explained that they want to improve the player experience before the release.
Specifically, the following things are being adjusted:
- Adjustments to the UI
- Improvements to combat, including adjustments to skill usage and “comfort of abilities”
- General adjustments to the systems
A detailed explanation of the planned changes is to be published in a blog post in March.
What problems does the game have? Even in the first beta in 2020, there was a lot of feedback, particularly regarding controls and the UI. Bless Unleashed felt more like a poor port from consoles than a fully-fledged PC MMORPG.
Adjustments were made earlier, including longer sprinting, an auto-run button, and adjustments to how items are used.
However, these adjustments did not go far enough for many players in another beta in January. That is why the developers have likely decided to push back the release.
What is Bless Unleashed anyway? The free-to-play MMORPG emphasizes action-packed combat and challenging bosses. It is a theme park game with a linear story told through quests. You can choose from 5 different classes to dive into the adventure.
In the endgame, you’ll encounter many field bosses and dungeons, as well as PvP in the open world. We have already tested the game on PC and written a preview about it:
