At the Game Awards 2018, Bioware presented a new trailer for Anthem as announced. The new video makes quite an impact and reveals new details about the story.
On December 8, 2018, the Alpha for Bioware’s upcoming shared-world shooter Anthem will start. As a warm-up for the fans, there was a new trailer as promised at the Game Awards 2018.
Here you can find the new Game Awards trailer for Anthem:
What does the Anthem trailer show? The video gives a glimpse into the struggle for survival of the humans in Fort Tarsis and provides insight into the new threat that players apparently have to face. The city is under attack and besieged by enemies.

In another scene, the main adversary of the Freelancers seems to be visible – a dark figure who has brought a Javelin pilot to his knees and now, surrounded by his followers, unleashes a kind of energy in his hand.
The story of Anthem: The video outlines the story surrounding Anthem roughly. For generations, some skilled pilots, called Freelancers, have been able to confront the dangers of the post-apocalyptic world with their powerful exosuits, the Javelins, and protect the people along with the high city walls.

But now a new enemy has apparently emerged, first presented in the video. He wants to harness the infinite power of the Anthem and put it to his advantage. The Freelancers must stop him. If he succeeds, nothing and no one will be able to hold him back anymore – not even the high walls of Fort Tarsis.
When is Anthem being released? The official release date of Anthem is February 22, 2019. The release is set to take place simultaneously on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Can you still participate in the Alpha? If you have not registered for this test phase yet, it is unfortunately too late now. The registration period has ended. You can currently only receive an invitation if you have already registered and had a bit of luck.
