A new bug in World of Warcraft is driving healers desperate. Instead of regenerating mana in combat, they now lose it automatically.
Currently, there seems to be chaos at Blizzard, as a hotfix after another in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is causing problems. The developers actually just wanted to tone down healers in PvP a bit, but now they are hardly playable. They automatically lose mana instead of regenerating it.
What did Blizzard have planned? With a hotfix, Blizzard wanted to reduce the mana regeneration of all healers in PvP situations by 30%. Thus, they regenerate less mana and can heal less. We reported on the changes in this hotfix in this article.
What are the implications? In fact, it seems that a bug has slipped into the code with the hotfix. While healers at level 120 report that their mana regeneration is indeed lower, it looks different in the “low-level area”. In the battlegrounds of the “small” characters, they now have negative mana regeneration. This results in absurd numbers such as “-6253% mana regeneration”.

The consequence: As soon as a PvP fight begins, healers automatically lose mana. At particularly low levels (1-40), mana disappears right at the start of the fight, rendering the respective classes useless.
The community is outraged: Especially on Reddit, players are venting their frustration. They are calling Battle for Azeroth “the worst expansion of all time” due to all the bugs. However, some players are soothing. Such bugs can happen, and if they are gone in a few hours, it’s not so bad.
It can be expected that Blizzard will have fixed the bug in a few hours. Let’s hope that the hotfix for the hotfix doesn’t bring further problems.
