Blizzard is giving away one of the rarest mounts from World of Warcraft starting today on Twitch: the Fel Drake. You just have to watch WoW for 4 hours during the release of the new expansion Dragonflight. MeinMMO explains the details.
What kind of mount is this? The Fel Drake is actually a mount that you received through a card from the WoW Trading Card Game. It uses the regular dragon model for mounts, has black scales and the classic neon green fel glow as well as the Legion rune above its head.
Since the Trading Card Game is no longer produced, the Fel Drake is correspondingly sought after among collectors and for its appearance. Some pay up to $3,000 for it, making the Fel Drake one of the more expensive items from WoW.
How do I get the dragon? Starting today, Monday, November 28, at 11:59 PM, the Fel Drake will be available as a Twitch Drop. That means you simply get the dragon as a gift by watching on Twitch:
- You need to watch the relevant channels on Twitch for 4 hours
- It doesn’t have to be the same channel for 4 hours
- You can find all channels for World of Warcraft on Twitch
- Participating channels are marked with the note: “Drops enabled”
- You DO NOT have to subscribe to the streamer and do NOT need Twitch Prime
- Your Twitch account must be linked to your Blizzard account – You can do this on Battle.net
- You can see the progress and the link in your Drop inventory on Twitch
However, you need to hurry, as you can only get the dragon until December 1 at 8:59 AM. Whether it will come back after that, we do not know. The chief already stated that certain mounts and content will never be made available again.

Twitch Drops for the Release of Dragonflight
What other Drops are there? Blizzard has several offers for Dragonflight on Twitch. After the Fel Drake, from December 13 to 29, there will be a purple firework as a permanent toy for your collection.
In addition, you will receive the pet “Ichabod”, a small harvest golem, if you gift two subscriptions to participating creators on Twitch by December 13. Ichabod is therefore not free, unlike the other content.
When does Dragonflight start? You can play the new expansion starting at 12:00 AM on the night of Monday, November 28, to Tuesday, November 29. From then on, the way to the Dragon Isles opens, and you can check out the new areas, dungeons, and new story.
