This artist can create weapons in the Destiny style from all sorts of “weapon sketches”. Cool!
Each one of us has a game designer and weapon artist inside! – At least when the artist “Play Ben” gets hold of our scribbled ideas and turns them into real art.
Plain Ben is a 2D and 3D artist who has already published several works related to Destiny on his Twitter channel. A few days ago, he started a new community project where he transformed random weapon sketches from less talented Guardians into creative Destiny weapons.
These “doodle-to-guns” are definitely worth seeing. Here is an Imgur gallery you can click through:

Guardians want these weapons in Destiny 2
At this point, a reminder: These are not “real” weapons that will exist in Destiny 2. The designs come solely from creative minds within the community.
However, if many Guardians on Reddit had their way, this would not remain the case: They demand that Bungie implement these weapons in Destiny 2. One comment with many upvotes even pleads for Bungie to hire this guy.
User NFSgaming has already taken a step further and created a model for Destiny 2 from one of these weapons – complete with perks and stats:
From the “Laurapocalypse” came the “Blue Dragon-5FR”. This weapon is supposed to be an exotic “Linear Fusion Rifle” – a new weapon type in the power slot, reminiscent of the Sleeper Simulant. The special perk is that the weapon triggers a lightning explosion when you kill an enemy with it.

At the end of 2015, the community designed a weapon that actually made it into the game – at least in a modified form: The “Price of Exile” became the Outbreak Prime. Whether one of these weapons will make its way into the MMO shooter in some form remains to be seen in the future.
