Ancient Siberia is a survival MMORPG that has entered Early Access via Steam and offers some interesting and unusual approaches.
Ancient Siberia transports you to the Slavic fantasy world of Tartaria, based on ancient Siberian myths and legends.
You experience the history of this world not just through quests as known from other MMORPGs, but by finding hidden birch bark tablets on which tales and myths are written down. Thus, you learn more about the world and what is happening in it.
Everyone was a child once
Another interesting aspect is the fact that you do not start as an adult hero, but as a child. In childhood, you learn all the essential skills, but cannot participate in PvP or be attacked by other players. Only when you have grown up do you face the dangers of Taratria.
This feature is not yet implemented in the current Early Access phase, but it will be added soon and is intended to provide an interesting introduction to the MMO.

- Actions have consequences: If you rob a merchant, you become a bandit and a bounty is placed on you

There is still a lot to do
Ancient Siberia is still in a quite early development phase and many of the planned features have not yet been implemented. The developers aim to create a large, vibrant world that is influenced and further developed by the players.
The Early Access version of the MMORPG costs 14.99 euros, currently the game is available at a discounted price of 7.49 euros.
