More and more “bugs” from WoW Classic are being reported by players. However, most of these things are features.
Although the beta of World of Warcraft Classic has been running for a while now, Blizzard is still receiving many bug reports that are not actually bugs. We had already listed some commonly reported bugs that are features before.
Blizzard has expanded this list in recent days and highlighted more points frequently mentioned by players.
What do players report as bugs? These points are often reported by players as bugs, but they are actually features and fixed gameplay elements.
- Enemies cannot be transformed into sheep if they have already been tapped (=attacked) by a player who is not in your group.
- The aggro radius is the correct size at all levels of enemies and player characters.
- Especially long quest texts do not have a short summary.
- Fall damage is correct and matches the expected values.
- “Broadcast text” (for example, when NPCs are visibly speaking) is displayed multiple times when multiple players interact with the same NPC.
- The WANTED! signs do not have a quest exclamation mark and are not highlighted.
- Player characters are not animated when they loot or interact with quest items (they have no moving animation).
- Gnomes and Tauren match their intended size.
Why are these “bugs” reported? It’s hard to say exactly why players report these “bugs”. It is possible that some veterans have a distorted view of Classic and have thus forgotten what was “really” in the game back then and what was not.
But they could also be newcomers who measure WoW Classic too much against the current WoW (Battle for Azeroth) and then assume that any differing experience must obviously be a bug.
Are you now in the beta of WoW Classic? Is everything still just as you remember it?
