Why is the shooter underrated? Titanfall 2 did not sell as well as it should have, said the head of developer Respawn in an interview in 2017. He saw the issues mainly in the aggressive pricing strategy and the competition. Titanfall 2 was released right between Battlefield 1 and CoD: Infinite Warfare, which may have caused it to be overlooked by some players.
However, the game received very good ratings:
- On Metacritic, Titanfall 2 received the full score of 100 multiple times, achieving an overall score of 86 (for PC) and 89 (for PS4)

Instead of the average of 1,516 players per day, the number suddenly rose to over 5,400:
- One reason for this may be a promotional sale where Titanfall 2 was available at a 75% discount.

Titanfall 2 Impresses in Multiplayer with Numerous Modes
