AdventureQuest is an MMORPG that originally started in 2002 as a browser RPG. Now it is getting a version for PC and mobile.
Using a trailer, the developers Artix recently announced a new version of AdventureQuest. It is titled AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity and will be released across platforms for Steam and mobile devices.
Many freedoms and new content weekly
What kind of game is this? In AdventureQuest, you choose your character from over 120 different classes, which can then wield over 10,000 different weapons.
Graphically, AdventureQuest offers its players a colorful comic world seen from a 2D perspective.
In general, the free MMORPG emphasizes a lot of freedom for its players. You explore the world, fight monsters, and collect numerous items. According to the developers, the story is “absolutely crazy,” and they promise new content weekly.

The developers are converting all existing items and classes
Originally, it was an RPG that was played in the browser. Later it became an MMORPG, where only the Artix client was necessary to play. Now the developers are restructuring everything and creating a new version that you will need to download.
On PC, it should run at over 60 FPS, making it significantly smoother than in the browser. Additionally, in the new version, you can play with a mouse and keyboard or with a controller.
Those who already had an account in AdventureQuest can take it with them and even keep their items and weapons.
Community is excited: “Finally cutscenes without lag”
Under the trailer on YouTube, mostly positive comments can be found. Users are looking forward to the remake of AdventureQuest and feel strong nostalgia.

When will AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity be released? The developers do not disclose a release date. They explain in the video and on the Steam page that converting will take a lot of work. On Steam it at least states the year 2023 for the release. We will keep you updated on news.
