Today on January 29th, there was a small new update in Fortnite. We show you the changes and new content in the patch notes.
This is what’s in the new update today: The update brings some bug fixes to the game. Additionally, a mode of transportation that had to be removed due to severe exploits is making a comeback.
The changes were announced on the Fortnite Trello.
New content is available for the Save the World mode.
The Zip Lines Are Back
After the Zip Lines had to be removed due to 3 exploits, they are now back in the game.
They were supposed to return with the next bigger update, but Epic has now reintroduced them in this patch.
You can use the Zip Lines again as a means of transportation or complete your challenges with them.
Bug Fixes
Which bugs were fixed? A few bug fixes, primarily related to building, have been implemented:
- A bug that prevented players from editing building structures while looking down has been fixed
- A bug that allowed players to unintentionally edit their building parts through the ground has also been fixed
New in Save the World
Frostnite Challenge “Final Frost”: Get ready for the final weekly Frostnite challenge, Final Frost! Ward off the chilling cold to unlock the Electron Tube Bow.
New Weapon “Electron Tube Bow”: It’s electrified! When you hit husks with this deadly weapon, lightning arcs between them.
Damage, range, and projectile speed increase with charge time.
The Hero Returns: The Cuddle Specialist Sarah returns to the weekly shop. She is sweet but deadly.
She is available in the event shop starting Saturday, February 1st, at 1:00 AM.
Compensation for Inventory Wipe: Players who were affected by the wipe of the backpack and storage will receive items based on their account level.
The compensation will be provided in the form of a item package with a wealth of materials (for building, crafting, etc.).
