This is the airplane challenge from week 9: Once again, in Fortnite, you need to complete time trials. But this time, you won’t be doing it on foot or with vehicles. Instead, the X-4 Stormwing airplane is essential to complete the task.
Where can I find airplanes? The locations of some airplanes have been figured out here for you. That’s where you should go first to get a plane for the task.
The locations of the time trial for the airplane
Here is the map of the locations: On this map, you can find the currently known locations of the time trials for the airplane. As soon as we discover more places, we will update the map.
Where exactly are the time trials? If you want to know exactly where time trials are located, check this list with coordinates:
- E2: West of the Gold Spot at Lazy Links, there is a time trial in the air.
- J6: Next to the former superhero villa, there is a time trial.
- A9: At the peninsula all the way to the south, there is also an airplane time trial. Additionally, an airplane is hidden in the nearby Yeti cave.
What do I need to do there? In total, you need to complete three different time trials. You start them by activating the glowing stopwatches at the respective locations. Just fly through, and then the task begins. From that point on, a timer is running, and you need to visit the other time symbols within the given time. If you fail, you have to start over.
These dangers lurk at the time trials: First of all, as pilots of Stormwings, you are well exposed, and the plane has been nerfed several times. If it gets shot out from under you, you will take significant damage. So don’t take too long, as opponents also know where the time trials are located and may be lurking around with heavy weapons.
