When is the end of Chapter 3? Fortnite itself has now reported in its blog post that the live event for Chapter 3 Season 4 will start on December 3rd at 10:00 PM German time. This is expected to last until 10:40 PM, a total of 40 minutes. Chapter 4 could thus end after the Chapter 3 Season 4 event.

However, this is not only surprising, but also very unusual for Epic Games. Chapter 1 had a total of 10 seasons, while Chapter 2 closed its cycle with 8 seasons. With the end of Chapter 3, this will be the shortest chapter ever. However, it should not end without a live event.

Will there be a gift at the end? Epic Games is giving you a free emote shortly before the end of Chapter 3. It’s called “Marsh-Honour” and can be grabbed from December 2nd at 3:00 PM until December 4th at 8:45 AM, provided you log in at that time.

Will there be a live event in Chapter 3 Season 4? According to the announcement from Epic Games at the FNCS, there will be a final event. This will also take place on December 3rd at 10 PM German time. The event is titled “Fractured” and is referred to by the developers as the final event.
When does Chapter 4 start? We cannot foresee that yet. However, we assume that Epic Games will shut down the servers after the live event.
On Sunday, the trailers for the battle pass and the story will typically appear in the morning. An update will then be rolled out on Sunday afternoon or evening, and you will be able to log in again in due time.

What content does Chapter 4 bring? Epic Games has not officially announced anything about the upcoming content yet. However, leakers have some ideas of what to expect at release. The following are listed by Hypex and Shiina:

- Motorcycles and flying creatures as vehicles
- A new map – Artemis is the placeholder name

What will Chapter 4 Season 1 look like? We cannot say that yet, but Season 1 will start before Christmas. So it is quite possible that you will find festive skins in the battle pass. Furthermore, more teasers will be distributed before the live event by Epic Games. These show familiar skins in space. It is likely that the new map will be located in the middle of the galaxy (via Twitter).
What does the new map of Chapter 4 look like? We do not know that yet, but leakers have already discovered the name of the new map in the data. It is called Asteria (via Twitter).
Why does Chapter 3 end so early? Unfortunately, nobody knows for sure, only Epic Games knows the official reasons behind the premature end of Chapter 3. However, players speculate on reddit that it has something to do with the announced release of the 2.0 Creative Mode.
The developers had already been working behind the scenes on the overhaul and polishing of the mode, but according to fans, it was not ready at the start of Chapter 3. Thus, one could see Chapter 3 as a kind of “bridge” to enable Epic Games to deliver an even bigger release with Chapter 4.
In this, new features will be included, such as the first-person mode or Creative 2.0. Whether that is the real reason, nobody knows. The fact is, that a live event is coming up soon. So try to complete your battle pass and find time for the live event.
