The end of Season 3 Chapter 2 is soon coming in Fortnite. But what about the live event that is supposed to take place at the end of the season? After all, Season 4 starts tomorrow and there’s little time left.
What’s happening in Fortnite right now? Season 3 in Fortnite is coming to an end after we fought through a flooded map. However, Season 14 starts on Thursday, August 27 and brings new content.
As always, there are already some teasers indicating the new content in the next season, but one question remains: What’s actually happening with the live event?
No live event for Season 3?
Here are the chances of a live event: In Fortnite, a rhythm has developed where you can already foresee whether a live event will take place or not. Normally, such events usually happen on a Saturday at the same time before the end of a season.
Another clue is the updates that are planned. Data miners filter these from the data and can see which update will be the last of a season. If no content for a live event is being implemented, one can assume that there will be none.
These two cases have occurred here in Season 3 and show that it is quite unlikely that there will be another event before Season 4 starts. It wouldn’t be the first time that there is no live event:
A small “event” did take place
What does that mean? Although we didn’t receive a proper live event on the Saturday before the season ends, a small event did take place.
Between August 22 and August 23, 2020 the Anti-Apple Tournament took place. According to Epic, this was an opportunity to gather all Fortnite players one last time before iOS players are excluded from Season 4.
This is a consequence of the dispute between Epic and Apple. They have removed Fortnite from their app store and so it is not possible for players with iOS devices to download updates there. In plain terms: Players who play on iOS devices will remain in Season 3.
However, for all other platforms, a new season will begin soon. Therefore, we probably won’t see a live event at the end of Season 3, but maybe something bigger is on the horizon? After all, the new teasers promise a huge war with Thor, the god of thunder. So we can stay excited about what awaits us.
