In Fortnite has had golden crowns that can be earned since the launch of Chapter 3. However, many do not know what they are for, how to earn them, and especially how to best keep them. We will show you everything you need to know on MeinMMO.
What are crowns? Crowns are new items that were implemented with Update 19.00 and the new Chapter 3 in Fortnite. You can only get them if you are good, and they are placed in your inventory when you prove yourself in a match.
If you have snagged a crown, you can prove yourself again in a match, and you will receive a free emote from Epic that you can flaunt to your friends.

What does the crown do for me? Crowns are used to increase your crown victories for the special emote “Crowning Achievement.” You will earn this immediately after you have snagged your first crown victory. So if you have snagged a crown and win a round with it, the number in your counter will increase.

However, that’s not all, if you have a crown in your inventory, every XP interaction gives you double the amount. So if you get 1,000 XP for a kill, you will get 2,000 XP with a crown. Thus, the crowns are also worthwhile if you are not after boasting.
How do I get a crown? You can only get crowns through two ways. Either you kill a player in a match who has a crown. You then pick it up and automatically receive it in your inventory. Or you win with an epic victory and safely receive a crown.
How can I lose them? Every death results in the immediate loss of the crown. So avoid carelessly fighting with your status symbol.
Many players also try to always find a good lobby by leaving the match when the Battle Bus is moving to search for suitable players. So if you are not satisfied with your players, leave the match before the bus takes off, or you will lose them.
How do I best keep them? If you are equipped with the new status symbol, careful play is a must.
Try to match in a match with other premium players. Pay attention to the bar that shows the name and skin icon.
If these players also have a royal symbol, it will be shown there. From experience, players with the rare headgear fight more cautiously and carefully than players without.
Also, make sure to keep your distance from other opponents during a new storm phase. Every time a new storm eye forms, your jewelry will blink, thus revealing your position.
