In Fortnite: Battle Royale, there is a new series of challenges for the Halloween event “Fortnitemares: Nightmares.” In the first set of these tasks, you need to find gargoyles and dance in front of them. We will show you where to find the Gargoyles.
What are the new Halloween challenges about? Since October 24, 2018, the new Halloween event in Fortnite has been live. Not only are your fellow players lurking, but also spooky zombies that emerge from fragments of the cube and drop valuable loot.
New challenges: In addition to regular tasks every Thursday, there will be new challenges specifically for the Fortnitemares mode until November 26, 2018. These are:
- Destroy Cube Monsters (200): 500 XP
- Deal damage to Cube Monsters with pistols or assault rifles (5,000): 500 XP
- Visit cursed areas in different matches (7): 500 XP
- Dance in front of different gargoyles (5): 500 XP
What do you get as a reward? If you complete all these tasks, you will receive a cute flame emoji.
How to complete the challenges and find the gargoyles
Everything is easy except for one task: The first three tasks should be completed by every player soon. You’ll find the undead in no time, and eventually, you’ll have taken down enough of them with pistols and assault rifles.
The cursed areas are displayed large on the map and there are always monsters there. That leaves only the task with the gargoyles.
Where are the gargoyles? The gargoyles are new to the game, and you can find them at the following locations:
- Viking Village: Directly in the large building on the hill
- North of Flush Factory: Right at the mountain peak there
- West of Lazy Links: The gargoyle is in the depression that looks like an umbrella.
- Haunted Hills: You can find a gargoyle in the main hall of the castle there.
- Between Wailing Woods and Risky Reels: There is a gargoyle halfway up the hill.
- Tomato Temple: In the lower courtyard is a gargoyle
- Retail Row: You will find the gargoyle in the house with the Battle Bus

What do I do with the gargoyles? Once you find a gargoyle, you just need to perform a dance from your emote wheel in front of it. The task is completed.
