Fortnite: Battle Royale has the theme of “Spook” in Season 6. Currently, the island above Loot Lake ominously hovers over the map. But have you ever taken a closer look at the house on the island?
What is the deal with the island and the house? At the start of Season 6, suddenly the island started to hover above Loot Lake. Previously, at the end of Season 5, the purple cube was tipped into the lake.
The floating island didn’t stay in place for long, it started to move and gradually activated the runes from Season 5. These were then equipped with craters that catapulted players around.
Many players suspect that the long-expected volcano event is there. But there are still other changes that many of you might not have noticed yet.
The house is being “cubed”
The cube is spreading: On the floating island, the well-known house remains. But since the island started to move, the building has changed drastically:
- In the cave under the house, cubes are growing everywhere, like in a mine. However, you cannot break them, and the cubes do nothing when you hit or shoot at them.
- In the basement, cube structures are also already sprouting from the ground and glow eerily in purple light.
- The upper floor currently seems to be free of the growths, but you can already see them glowing from below.
What is happening? It looks like with every stage of the island over the rune points, the “cubing” of the island increases. Perhaps the house will become a massive pile of cubes when the island has hit all seven runes.
Will a catastrophe follow and then winter? We already know that Season 6 ends in early December 2018. After the Halloween theme in Season 6, Christmas and winter are likely to be the theme of Season 7. Some fans have also proposed the theory that the apocalypse in PvE will happen in PvP soon. So will there be some kind of catastrophe followed by winter in Fortnite?
