In Fortnite, the 2nd week of Season 11 (Chapter 2, Season 1) is currently underway. There are new challenges to complete. In one of the “Juice-Slurped-Mission,” you need to upgrade your weapons. We will show you how to do that.
What kind of challenge is this? In this challenge, you need to upgrade 3 weapons at a weapon upgrade bench.
Upgrading Weapons in Fortnite – Here’s How
How can you upgrade your weapons? To upgrade a weapon, you first need to find an upgrade bench. Afterwards, you need materials to upgrade the weapon there.
Depending on the rarity of your weapon, the upgrade will cost more materials. Here’s how much it costs from:
- common (gray) to uncommon (green): 50 materials
- uncommon (green) to rare (blue): 150 materials
- rare (blue) to epic (purple): 250 materials
- epic (purple) to legendary (gold): 350 materials
So if you want to upgrade your weapon as “cheaply” as possible, you should prefer weapons with lower rarity.
How does the workbench function? You go to the upgrade bench and select the weapon you want to improve. As long as you have enough materials, you can simply upgrade your weapon.
If you have enough materials for all weapons, you can upgrade all 3 weapons one after the other.
Weapon Upgrade Bench / Workbench – Locations
Where can you find an upgrade bench? These benches can be found in many locations on the map. They are usually located in the basements of buildings.

If you want to take your time upgrading, it is advisable to visit a location that is unmarked. You will always find the weapon upgrade bench in a house there and you will usually not encounter many enemies.
But you can also find upgrade benches in named locations like:
- Retail Row
- Frenzy Farm
- Dirty Docks
- Craggy Cliffs
- Sweaty Sands
However, at these locations, it might be challenging to upgrade your weapons. Many enemies often land there with you, and you risk being eliminated beforehand.
