To Fortnite: Battle Royale Patch 9.20 has been released. It introduces a new item called Storm Turn and a mode featuring the most hated item of all time.
This is in the new update for Patch 9.20: The highly speculated new item Storm Turn is available after the downtime in this patch, as well as a lot of fixes and adjustments, and a game mode where the Infinity Blade reappears.
In PvE, you can expect a new simulation mode and many new heroes in Sci-Fi style.
The features of the update for Patch 9.20 in PvP
New Item – Storm Turn: As suspected, this epic item either creates a storm or suppresses an existing storm. You can stack a maximum of one, and the storm damage is identical to the current storm strength. The storm or safe zone lasts for 20 seconds.
Contrary to all fears, the similarly functioning stink bomb will not be removed from the game.
Weapon Changes – Hunting Rifle: The sniper rifle without a scope has become obsolete and will be removed from the game. According to the developers, it is obsolete since the infantry rifle exists.
New limited-time game mode: The following mode is temporarily in the game:
- Sword Fight: Only epic and better weapons are found in chests. And possibly even the most hated item in Fortnite history, the Infinity Blade!
Gameplay Changes and Bug Fixes: Among other things, the following adjustments have been made:
- Loot drones now have fewer sniper rifles and explosives
- Turrets now overheat 20 percent slower
- The Boom Bow now takes 25 percent longer for a full charge
- Players revived by the reboot bus lose their invulnerability when they shoot or build
- Players outside closed enemy buildings can no longer build inside them
- Fortbytes that can only be obtained with certain skins now work correctly
This is changing in Creative mode: Here, there is also a new desert theme.

New Weapons: Retro Science Fiction Weapon Set: In the new science fiction llamas, you will find:

- Rayotron 9000: An automatic energy sniper rifle without a scope.
- Mini Rayotron: An automatic energy pistol with a high rate of fire.
- Gammatron 9000: An energy barrage storm rifle
- Shell Distorter: An energy hammer with a gravitational effect that attracts enemies.
