For Fortnite: Battle Royale, the new update 6.31 has been released. But what is included in the patch? Here you will find out in the patch notes.
Update 6.31 is all about big guns. Because the once-popular shotgun could make a strong comeback. It received more base damage and will especially rock in the pump-action version. Here, there’s a buff and a new version in epic and legendary rarity.
The Features of Patch 6.31 in PvP
New Weapon – Epic and Legendary Pump-action Shotgun: The already known pump-action shotgun now also has a version at the rarity levels epic and legendary. The new weapon deals 105/110 points of damage and is otherwise like a regular pump-action shotgun.
More Damage for the Pump-action Shotgun: The regular version of the pump-action shotgun causes more damage. This increased from 80/85 to 95/100. However, the damage decreases more when you stand further away from the opponent.
New Rule for Shotguns: All shotguns now always deal at least as much damage as if 3 individual bullets had hit. These extra bullets are never counted as critical hits.
Turrent Nerf: The controversial turret has been nerfed again:
- You can hit the shooter more easily
- It can no longer be repaired
- The drop rate decreased from 1.719% to 0.915%
- It can no longer shoot through the floor plates
New Game Mode – Team Rumble: This new game mode lets two teams of 20 compete against each other. There are respawns and you leave randomly selected ammunition and resources upon dying. Only extraordinary or better weapons are available. The team that reaches 100 kills first wins.
New Tournament – Alchemist Pop-Up Cup: In this tournament, as in all pop-ups, new gameplay changes are tested that can change every day. So, there is a bit of chaos present.
Here it applies, among other things, that you can collect a maximum of 500 pieces of each resource, gain 50 health after kills, and harvest 40 percent faster. There is also the “Storm Surge”.
If more than a certain number of players are alive after a specific storm circle, all those who have taken the least damage will continuously receive additional damage.
The Patch Highlights of Update 6.31 in PvE – Save the World
New Hero: The legendary constructor “Sky Pioneer” is now available in the weekly shop. Starting Wednesday, November 28 at 01:00 AM CET, she will be available. She can deploy a kind of turret called R.O.S.I.E., which all players can use as long as there is ammunition available.
New Hero: The legendary shock trooper version Carlos from Steel Wool can be obtained from the mission line of Bru-Tal Act 2.
New Weapon: The Morbid Shovel will soon be available in the shop. From November 28 to December 5 at 01:00 AM CET, you can buy it. You can perform strong double hits with it.
Bru-Tal Act 2: There are new missions, a new ghost town look, and new story characters:
- 21 new missions and a new sightseeing mission
- New ghost towns and amusement parks
- New story about the storm and the band Steel Wool
- Better rewards for missions
Unfortunately, the German voice of Ray did not make it in time into the patch. Therefore, she speaks English until the German voice will be added in patch 7.0 next week.
