Patch Notes and New Content for Season 3
What we know: Epic Games has now officially released the patch notes, and we list them summarized and in detail for you.
The Reality Tree and its Forest
The Reality Tree spreads its positive energy across the entire island. Week by week, you will notice how trees turn purple and large bounce mushrooms spring from the ground. Near the tree, there are not only waterfalls and geysers but also secret hells waiting to be explored by you.
Reality Seeds – Loot seeds that you can plant
Thanks to the Reality Tree, there are now Reality Seeds on the island that you can plant all over the island. Your seedling will then grow from match to match and bring you more loot if you decide to harvest it.
The Ballers are back!
The Ballers have been reintroduced to the game along with some new features. This round vehicle now has more durability, can float on water, and is powered by batteries. So if you run out of juice, you’ll need to find another one.
The Ballers can be found in the Baller roller coaster at the amusement park. You can either take a ride on the track or derail and go your own way.
You can now ride animals
Epic Games finally gives you the chance to use animals in Fortnite as a means of transport. If a wolf or boar is nearby, you can jump on and take off. If enemies attack you while on your animal, you can draw your weapon and shoot at your opponents just like in the Wild West.
New and old weapons shake up the meta
With Season 3, Fortnite also introduces three new weapons to the map. These are versatile and are as follows:
Two-Shot Shotgun
The new pump fires in bursts and with the right handling can shred your opponents in the air. Maybe this new shotgun will shake up the meta.
Precision Rifle (DMR)
The DMR has characteristics of both an assault rifle and a sniper rifle. With the built-in scope and superior range, you can easily outplay your opponents with this rifle.
Hammer Assault Rifle
This rifle has not only the range of an assault rifle but also the rate of fire of a submachine gun. If you pick up this weapon, be aware of the strong recoil, which can help but can also lead to disaster.

A disease has been added to Fortnite. You get it if you stay too long in the storm zone. The disease accelerates the damage that the storm inflicts on your health. So be careful not to stay in the storm for too long.
Snips – A skin to assemble
With Season 3, you also get the chance to customize Snips, a toy skin, to your liking. After unlocking it on the first page of the Battle Pass, it has various tasks that reward you with new parts for its body.
Improved Sliding
Sliding on a flat surface does not slow you down. You can slide infinitely. If your slide ends, you retain your speed when standing up.
Competitive Adjustments
Reality seeds, reality saplings, wolves, and Ballers are not available in competitive game modes.
