The new update 10.40 in Fortnite is here. We show you in the German patch notes what Epic Games has changed in the game.
What does the update bring? The update brought two major changes that affect the game. 2 new game modes have been introduced and the new location Starry Suburbs is now on the map.
New Mode Combine
What kind of mode is this? In this new mode, you can test your controller settings. You should reach the target as quickly as possible and eliminate all opponents along the way. Compete against your friends and earn the best time.
New Location – Starry Suburbs
What kind of location is this?The location Starry Suburbs has been added in the new update. Here, shooting stars fall from the sky with good loot. Visit this location and get the loot.
The location Starry Suburbs has such a friendly neighborhood that even shooting stars come by. Destroy the stars to obtain powerful loot. Among other things, you will also find the legendary tactical submachine gun that was seen in the Season X trailer.
Weapons and Items
Newly added: The legendary tactical submachine gun has been added to the game. You can find it at the new location Starry Suburbs by breaking the shooting stars. The weapon deals 21 damage per hit and has a magazine size of 35 shots.
Out of the vault: The jump pad is back. You can place these on floors, walls, and stairs/ramps. It gives players a boost in the direction it was aimed. You can find them in supply drops, llamas, and on the ground.
Gameplay Changes
Double XP Weekend: From Friday, September 27, to Monday, September 30, you can earn double experience points. You will receive double the amount of XP for each match.
Skill-based matchmaking: New changes have been introduced for matchmaking. Players with similar performance will now play against each other. The better you play, the stronger the opponents will be.
Detailed controller settings: Now you can customize your controller even more precisely. Choose from different settings to find the optimal setting for you.
New in Creative Mode
Zone Wars: The #FortniteZoneWars have arrived. Now it’s your turn to join the battle. You can play the community’s most popular Zone Wars games as LTMs. Additionally, there is a Zone Wars challenge pack in the item shop to unlock various rewards and cosmetics.
Changes in Save the World
Mini mission series “Timeless”: “Time is out of joint! Join Chef Riggs in a race.
Summer Street – Expansion: Quinn is going to Summer Street one last time. Support her on her way there.
New weapon: The Staccato Shotgun will be in the weekly shop from Wednesday, September 25, 2:00 AM, to Wednesday, October 2, 2:00 AM. This is an automatic shotgun with piercing rounds, high ammunition capacity, strong impact, and high rate of fire.
