The update 10.40.1 is available in Fortnite. We show you in the German patch notes what has changed in the game.
What does the update bring? Season X has been extended by one week. The “Against the Clock” challenges will be available from October 8th. A well-known weapon has been unvaulted.
Extension Challenges “Against the Clock”
What are these missions? The season has been extended. With the challenges available from Tuesday, October 8th, 3:00 PM until Sunday, October 13th, 8:00 PM, you can unlock styles for three battle pass skins, experience points, and a loading screen.
Weapons and Items
Unvaulted: The stone pistol has been unvaulted. You can aim at opponents with it and receive a strong recoil. It is also well-suited for trick shots.
Gameplay
What is new?
- The season has been extended by one week
- Gotham City and the Batman pack will be available until the end of Season X
Zone Wars: The Zone Wars Vortex, Colosseum, Downhill River, and Desert have been packed into 2 LTM’s. Join the queue to play one of the 4 Zone Wars maps. The map selection is now random.
Bug fixes for Combine mode: A bug that prevented players from queuing in matchmaking has been fixed. The Combine mode is also available again on iOS and Android due to the bug fix.
New in Creative Mode
What is new? The meteorite items have been added to the creative mode gallery. Build your own meteorite impact!
Changes to Save the World
New storyline: The final driver BEAT-Bot is on his way to the radio stations. Help him, as the Summer Road is already waiting for you!
New weapon: The Thumper is soon available in the weekly shop. A sound hammer that teaches your enemies the rhythm. The hammer is slammed onto the ground and sends out a series of sound pulses. These deal damage to your opponents and knock them back.
The Thumper will be available from Thursday, October 3rd, 2:00 AM until Thursday, October 10th, 2:00 AM in the weekly shop.
