In Fortnite: Battle Royale, Update 10.10 for Season 10 is now live on the servers. The German patch notes are shown here. The location Retail Row is making a comeback, and the pesky mechs are being nerfed.
Here is what’s new in Update 10.10 in Fortnite:
- The new, old location Retail Row is waiting for you to explore, as a rift zone has turned Mega Mall back.
- A new Limited Time Mode “World Run” is active
- The Infinity Blade returns
- Changes to the B.I.E.S.T.
How big is the update? On PC, you will need to download about 1.15 GB.
Retail Row is back – Map changes and zombies
Where is the location? Where Mega Mall used to stand, you will now find Retail Row.
What’s new there? In Retail Row, you will encounter many monsters that will attack you. You can shoot them around the shopping center.
The monsters drop weapons or ammunition when you eliminate them. There will be no monsters outside of Retail Row.
New LTM “World Run” – What is that?
How many players? This game mode is designed for 16 players.
How is it played? In World Run, the goal is to become the world’s best runner. The first team to collect 30 gold coins wins.
There are a total of 4 teams.
Weapons and items – Mech changes
The Infinity Blade returns: Epic brings the Infinity Blade out of the vault. However, it will only be available in the Team and Duos LTM Sword Fight. The environmental damage has been adjusted from 10,000 to 600 damage.
Changes to the mechs: A target laser now appears when players charge and fire rockets. Shooters and other players can see the laser.
This aims to make it easier to see where the rockets are heading before they fire. This makes dodging easier.
- The acoustic and visual feedback of the self-destruction sequence has been improved
- You can now enter a mech directly from the glider
- In large team modes, mechs now spawn during the storm phase, not just afterward
- A mech will only survive in the storm for 30 seconds
- If there is no player in the mech for 15 seconds, the mech will become visible on the minimap
These bugs have been fixed

- Trees maintain their desired appearance when taken down and no longer transform into other trees
- Chests should no longer be broken or opened at the start of a match
- The message “Welcome to Tilted Town” should disappear as intended after a while and not remain permanently
