In Fortnite today, Friday, June 19, Patch 13.0.1 was released on PS4, Xbox One, and Mac. It needs to be downloaded. But what does the patch actually do? There are no proper patch notes, but we will show you what has been fixed.
What kind of patch is this? Patch 13.0.1 was already applied on PC, but today it surprisingly comes to PS4, Xbox One, and Mac. Nintendo Switch players will have to wait until an update becomes available.
The patch was announced by Fortnite Status on Twitter.
It is not the first time Epic brings a surprising patch without making a big announcement.
What does the update actually do?
Which bug was fixed? On Wednesday, June 17, Season 3 started and already brought a bug where some players would crash out of the game when opening the emote selection wheel.
The following day, there was a patch for PC that fixed this issue. Now the update is available for additional platforms.
On PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Mac, you can now again use your emotes in the game normally.
How big is the patch? On PS4, the size of the patch is 1.6 GB.
Why is this so important? In Fortnite, emotes are simply part of the game. Whether to pass the time with a dance on the starting island, to celebrate with a victory dance, or to communicate with teammates.
If the game now crashes just because you wanted to perform a dance, that can quickly become annoying. Therefore, it is important that this bug is no longer in the game.
Additionally, with the start of Season 3, a new Battle Pass came out, featuring new emotes to showcase.
But there are not only new emotes in the Battle Pass. Some new skins were also released, which together represent the Drifter Crew. Even Aquaman presents himself proudly, and players can unlock him. We show you all the new skins from Season 3 and what you might expect soon.
