In Fortnite today, on December 4th, the grand live event that marks the end of Chapter 2 (Season 8) and the start of Chapter 3 is taking place. We will show you when the event starts and at what time you should be there.

What is this event about? At the end of a season or chapter, Fortnite regularly holds large live events. Players can participate live in Fortnite and experience the event together, or watch it on stream with the big Fortnite streamers and follow their reactions to the spectacle live.
When does the live event start? Today, on December 4th, the grand live event before the start of Chapter 3 takes place. At 10:00 PM German time, you can participate in the event. This time is confirmed by Fortnite itself with a countdown that you will find in your lobby and on the map.
Game Mode “The End” – How to Participate
How you can join: If you want to experience the event live in the game, you should log in in advance. Depending on how many players are there, it could lead to overcrowded servers, which might result in queues.
For the finale of Chapter 2, there will be an event mode called “The End”. You will only be able to start this mode from 9:30 PM onwards. It accommodates up to 16 players.
Can it be repeated? No. “The End” is a one-time event and does not offer a replay option. If you want to watch the end of Chapter 2 later, you should record it yourself or refer to videos on YouTube. We will share a video of the event here on MeinMMO soon.
You will receive gifts: As a reward for your participation in the “The End” event, you will receive a special loading screen and a skin. So, fighting against the Cube Queen is worth it for you.

What Happens at the Live Event “The End?”

This is known: Fortnite itself has already released a teaser trailer for the event of “The End”. You can expect a battle against the Cube Queen. This marks the end of Chapter 2 and the start of Chapter 3.
In the trailer, we see armed characters like Shadi bravely confronting the Cube Queen.
The Queen threatens to destroy the map from Chapter 2. So it’s quite possible that the entire map will be destroyed or completely changed during the event. Then in Chapter 3 Season 1 there will be a brand new map for you.
Additionally, there are already some leaks regarding the end of the Fortnite map. Trailers are circulating that show how it might continue with a new map in Chapter 3.
Others are saying that there will be another “Black Hole” event and Fortnite will not be reachable for a few days. Such an event happened with Fortnite in 2019 when, after the end and before the start of a season, only a black hole was visible and no one could play.
