A new feature in Fortnite Season 7 is the wraps. They give your weapons and vehicles a special look. Learn here how they work and why they’re so great.
What are wraps in Fortnite? The new wraps are an additional form of cosmetic customization option in Season 7. Previously, you could only equip certain skins with different looks and color patterns.
With the wraps, your items in the game are now customizable as well.
Give yourself a unique look
How do the wraps work? You can adjust the wraps in the locker. This is the menu where you customize your skins, gliders, and pickaxes, among other things. There is an additional option for wraps. So far, you can assign a unique wrap for each weapon type and vehicles in general.
You can give your assault rifles a bright red look, while your sniper rifles can have a snow camouflage. The pistol gets a gold wrap, and the vehicles will be green.
Depending on your preference and chosen outfit, you can create your individual look. The possibilities should be numerous.
How do I get wraps? Currently, wraps are only available through the Battle Pass of Season 7. All wraps are included in the paid pass. Free users do not get wraps.
How many wraps are there? So far, six wraps can be found in the Battle Pass:
• Arctic Camo: From level 5 in the Battle Pass
• Festive Wrap: From level 11 in the Battle Pass
• Bright Red: From level 26 in the Battle Pass
• Durrr Burger: From level 43 in the Battle Pass
• Indigo Ice: From level 60 in the Battle Pass
• Carbon Fiber and Gold: From level 74 in the Battle Pass
Is there more to come? Most likely, Epic will release more wraps soon. Especially for events, a suitable wrap would serve as a reward. And the next Battle Pass will probably offer additional wraps.
Furthermore, Epic will likely not miss the opportunity to offer more wraps in the shop for real money. Other games, like Counter-Strike: GO, have been earning a lot of money with this for years. Things are getting even more colorful in Fortnite!
This is how the wraps are received by the fans: The wraps are well received by fans. However, they want more options. Many fans wish for unique wraps that can be obtained for specific, tough challenges or as a reward in certain tournaments. That would be a truly special item that not everyone has.
