The big Galactus live event at the end of Season 4 has now taken place in Fortnite: Battle Royale and prepares players for Season 5 – Chapter 2. Players were able to confront Galactus in battle. We show you a video of the event.
Update December 2 7:35 AM: The servers are down to initiate the season launch. Now the first trailer for Season 5 is here. Jonesy, the Zero Point, and plenty of chaos were seen.
What was the event? The live event called “Nexus War” started at 10:10 PM. A countdown had counted down to this time. Then the world devourer Galactus appeared.

What happened in the live event at the end of Season 4? As the countdown ended, a siren was heard and slowly, more and more of the massive Galactus could be seen, which had only been recognizable by the head before. Previously, players had only truly seen Galactus in the trailer for the season launch.
When he stretched out, he warned the players that he was hungry. A threatening situation, considering Galactus is known for devouring worlds.
With a wave of his hand, he whisked the players away, causing them to suddenly rush quickly towards the ground. But luckily, Iron Man appeared. He equipped the players with a jet pack and had a plan.
For this plan, the players now had to pilot a Battle Bus. The bus was equipped with rockets to eliminate Galactus’s evil drones. After a wild ride where the Battle Pass skins Thor and Wolverine also helped out, Galactus was fed with the buses.
This caused Galactus to “explode” and thus he was actually defeated. But after a short pause, the main character of Fortnite was seen: Jonesy, who was unconscious on the floor of an office while an alarm sounded. He woke up startled and then the event was over, noting that the story will continue in Season 5.
At the last live event: “The Device”, Jonesy was also seen in an office, and it seemed like it was another dimension.

After the live event, Fortnite is now down until tomorrow, December 2, when Season 5 continues. Until then, players will likely have to wait until they can explore the new Battle Pass, the map, and possibly new features. However, there are already some hints about the Season 5 Battle Pass.
