Actually, maintenance work was supposed to take place early this morning in Fortnite and provide us with patch 4.2. That will not happen for the time being. Epic has postponed the patch – players should expect issues.
In the new season 4, Epic has changed the update cycle. New patches and game content will now always be applied on Tuesday mornings German time – the day of the weekly reset.
At least this week, however, the patch will be delayed – Epic has identified issues and postponed the release of update 4.2:
When will the patch arrive? When the patch will exactly come is still unknown. It is also unclear whether today, Tuesday, is still realistic, or if the patch will be postponed to the next days. As soon as Epic brings light into the darkness, you will find out as usual on Mein MMO.
Should I expect issues? In the tweet, Epic addressed “issues with certain quests” that may not function properly. It is not known whether this refers to the new weekly challenges in Battle Royale mode or quests from Save the World.
The delayed update 4.2 – The content!
Regarding the Battle Royale mode, an in-game hint appeared just last night, indicating that there will be a new weapon – the Burst Assault Rifle.
This will most likely be the epic and legendary variant of the Burst Assault Rifle. This weapon appeared yesterday in Fortnitetracker and has the following stats:
It is not yet known whether a weapon will have to be exchanged – strong candidates are the remote explosives and the suppressed submachine gun.
In addition to the new weapon, there will probably also be some bug fixes and stability improvements.
What will update 4.2 bring for the Save the World mode? A few weeks ago, the developer Epic released a roadmap for the PvE content. According to this roadmap, players can look forward to a long-awaited feature with update 4.2.
The feature with the cumbersome name Advantage Twister will let you re-roll your weapons!
In addition, there should be new repeatable event quests as well as a new Quad Launcher.
