For Fortnite: Battle Royale, the next update to Patch 6.30 is online. You will receive the already announced Western mode and a new weapon. Additionally, there’s a new hero and revolvers for Save the World.
With a patch for Update 6.30, another wave of additional content comes to the game. The highlight is clearly the already repeatedly leaked Wild West mode with dynamite. But there’s also something new to discover in the PvE mode Save the World.
Update: Apparently, the new dynamite has already been removed from the game as it caused unexpected client crashes. Epic is currently working on a solution.
The features of the new update in PvP
New mode – Wild West: As already assumed based on leaks and a telling tweet, the new limited-time duo game mode “Wild West” has arrived today. Different rules apply here along with a radically limited selection of weapons and equipment:
Available weapons:
- Hunting Rifle
- Shotgun
- Double-Barreled Shotgun
- Six-Shooter
- The Minigun (yes, that was invented back then!) was briefly in the game, but has now been removed again.
Available items:
- Campfire
- Bandages
- Medkits
- Dynamite
- Slurp Juice (only in drops)
The Wild West mode replaces the Disco Dominance, but the Food Fight is still available.
New item – Dynamite: This item is a type of grenade that flies less far. It explodes cylindrically and deals 70 damage to players and a hefty 800 damage to buildings. So another item against builders. Warning: The fuse burns for exactly 5 seconds, and the dynamite explodes even if you are still holding it!
New tournament: The Raider Pop-Up Cup (Duos) has been adjusted. The resource limit has been reduced from 500 to 300. However, you now receive 5 instead of 3 explosives in grenade stacks.
The patch highlights in PvE
New hero: The explosives expert “8-Bit Demo” is now available in the weekly shop. From Thursday, November 22, to November 29 at 01:00 CEST, he will be available. He can deploy decoys to lure enemies to fixed locations. There he blows them away!
New weapon: The ghost pistol is also available in the shop. From November 22 to November 29 at 01:00 CEST, you can buy it. The weapon has a low fire rate and its ghost bullets penetrate enemies and walls!
