Fortnite (PC, PS4, iOS, Switch & Xbox One) has significantly improved the Slurp Juice in the latest update 5.10. This backfired. Due to a bug, the item became overpowered and had to be removed.
The new Slurp Juice The Slurp Juice is a heal-over-time item that used to regenerate 25 health and shield points in about 30 seconds. Nice, but nothing groundbreaking. Therefore, fans suggested an improvement to the Slurp Juice, which was promptly accepted by Epic. Since update 5.10, the juice heals a total of 75 points, prioritizing health. Then it continues with the shields.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of it.
Juice makes invulnerable!
Drinking to immortality: Unfortunately, the new Slurp Juice has a nasty bug. If you cancel the drinking animation, the healing buff still takes effect. However, you keep the juice. So you can keep sipping it and activate a permanent heal-over-time buff that gives you 2 health or shield points every second.
A nasty advantage: While you are not completely invulnerable, anyone who does not take you out with a precise salvo and massive damage in a short time has a real problem since you will be back at full energy after a few seconds.
Juice initially removed: Therefore, the developers immediately pulled the emergency brake and removed the juice from the game. In a Reddit thread, the devs keep you updated. According to their own statements, they are diligently working on a fix and want to bring the juice back into the game as soon as possible.
C4 was gone, now it’s back
Another bug: Along with the Slurp Juice, the C4 explosive charge was also affected. It had the wrong explosion radius and had to be removed as well. However, the developers have now presumably repaired the remote explosives and patched them back into the game.
Let’s hope that the new Slurp Juice will also be released from the anti-bug treatment soon.
