Next week, a new event is coming to Fortnite. High Stakes brings a new skin, a fresh item, and the mode “Getaway.” The special feature: The new skin is customizable and has 4 masks.
We have received more information about “High Stakes.” Epic announced this information during a livestream for Pax West 2018. The event is set to start next week in Fortnite. Already, the promotional material looks quite stylish.
Costume in Card Style
The new skin: We had already gotten a glimpse of the “High Stakes” skin. It is the “Wildcard” outfit, a white suit with black gloves and a distinctive mask – we now know more about the skin.
This will be a set consisting of 3 items:
- The skin itself is a white suit, to which you can wear four different masks. The masks feature the symbols of a card game – heart, diamond, spade, and club.
- Additionally, the set includes a briefcase that is attached to the wrist with a handcuff – this is a Back Bling.
- A glider themed “Bank Heist” is also part of the “High-Stakes” set.
How to get this skin? The skin is expected to be available for purchase in the Fortnite shop.
Special Challenges: Epic also promises special “Challenges” for High-Stakes. Perhaps it will be similar to the Tomato Head skin, a special challenge that unlocks additional cosmetic items. It is possible that the masks of the skins will be available one after the other. But we do not know that yet.
Getaway – New Limited Time Mode
New Mode: The fresh mode will be called “Getaway,” which is to be presented on September 2nd at PAX West.
It is suspected that the mode could be similar to “Protect the President,” meaning you have to protect a teammate.
Fresh Movement Item “Grappler”
New Item: Additionally, a new item is set to be revealed. This will be a “movement item.” The item will be called “The Grappler.”
It is assumed that it could be a grappling hook. It could then be used to quickly pull oneself up on buildings, for example.
