In Fortnite the start of Season 7 in Chapter 2 is coming soon. We’ll show you when it starts and what you can expect.
Update June 8, 2021: Fortnite has now officially announced Update 17.00 on Twitter. At 8:00 AM the servers will be taken down and the game will be down for a while. All information you need to know about the update for the new Season 7 can be found in our server down article.
What is it about? Players are eagerly waiting for the end of Season 6 and the start of Season 7 in Chapter 2. Season 6 has been active in Fortnite for a few months now, and now players are just a few hours away from the start of the new season. We will show you everything you need to know here on MeinMMO.
When does Season 7 start?
Then it begins: The official start date for Season 7 is Tuesday, June 8, 2021. However, an exact time has not yet been announced by Epic. Based on experiences from previous seasons, downtime will likely start in the morning, and Fortnite will be unavailable for a few hours.
By noon, the servers should be back up and Update 17.00 with the new Season 7 should be available. Provided everything goes as it has in previous years. You may also be able to play earlier or later.
What about a live event?
What is known: So far there is no information on whether an event will take place. However, since the season starts tomorrow, it is likely that no “live” event will take place. However, there might be a solo event at the start of Season 7 – similar to what happened at the start of the last season. We will likely see if Epic will announce anything about it.
What will come in Season 7?
What has been seen so far: Season 7 will likely revolve around aliens and UFOs – this is at least the hints that have been observed so far. In the game itself, players are currently being abducted by UFOs and dropped off at other locations. It is suspected that the aliens will still be active in Season 7. Perhaps they will also bring new weapons from another planet?
