A new update for Fortnite is coming today. We will show you the new weapon, the new city, and what else to expect. Here are the patch notes for 3.1.0.
Today, Thursday, during a server maintenance, the new update for Fortnite will be implemented. You can play the update as soon as the server maintenance is finished. The exact time for this is not yet known.
We summarize the highlights in the new patch 3.1.0.
The highlights in the update
General changes in Fortnite
Controller and mouse can now be used together. This is a change at the request of a player with a physical disability that we reported on. He only has one arm.
Changes in Fortnite: Battle Royale
New weapon hunting rifle in Battle Royale. The hunting rifle has no scope and is suitable for medium to long ranges. It drops in unusual and rare.

More frequent better assault rifles, revolvers, and tactical shotguns. The drop rates in Battle Royale have been adjusted, so players find the stronger variants more often. You should not find more weapons of this type, but as many as before, just better ones.
New city “Lucky Landing.” On the southern edge of the island, there is a new location: Lucky Landing.

Less loot at 3 locations. Spawn points have been removed in Snobby Shores, in the industrial area north of Flush Factory, and in Tilted Towers. A total of 25 loot spots on the ground and 11 treasure chests will be removed from these 3 spots.
These spots were important cornerstones in the most popular farming routes in Fortnite: Battle Royale. The loot routes will therefore change with the patch.
Changes to Save the World, Fortnite’s PvE mode
Impulse grenade is new. The impulse grenade is now also coming to Fortnite’s PvE. It can be used to throw husks through the air or off cliffs. Additionally, players can use it to reach inaccessible places.
Dragonfire shotgun. The shotgun is in the weekly shop. It fires a deadly cone of flames. It is a heavy automatic shotgun.

That’s it for the highlights in the PvE mode of Fortnite and in Battle Royale mode. This was just a selection of what is changing in the update. You can read the complete patch notes in German here at Epic.
